Rolls-Royce unveils Spectre, its first all-electric model in South Korea

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars has released its first battery-powered car, called the Spectre, in South Korea. This is the company’s first venture into battery-powered cars in the Asia-Pacific area. The British carmaker wants to take advantage of the growing market demand for electric luxury cars in China, which has the fourth-biggest economy in Asia.

South Korea will be the first country in the Asia-Pacific region to get the fully electric Spectre car, Rolls-Royce said. This smart move shows that the brand is serious about building a strong footprint in the area. Rolls-Royce wants to take advantage of South Korea’s growing interest in electric cars and its status as a key market for luxury cars by selling its battery-powered car there.

In South Korea, you can buy the Spectre model for a base price of 620 million won ($486,000), with extra costs based on the choices you make. Rolls-Royce didn’t say how many pre-orders it had, but the company did confirm that there was a lot of interest from the fast-growing Korean market. The Yonhap news outlet says that the Spectres that buyers have bought should be sent to them in the fourth quarter.

Rolls-Royce’s sales are going up in Korea because of a number of things, like the country’s improving economy and the growing number of businesspeople. Irene Nikkein, who is in charge of Rolls-Royce’s business in the Asia-Pacific region, is optimistic about the Korean market’s long-term growth prospects. She said that the country’s growth and government spending give her faith in this. The company thinks that Korea’s good conditions make it likely that the luxury carmaker will do well in the country.

Rolls-Royce entered the Korean market for the first time in 2004 and has slowly grown since then. Its current line-up in Korea includes cars like the Phantom, Ghost, and Cullinan, which are all very popular. Rolls-Royce, which is part of the BMW Group, sells its well-known cars in Korea along with BMW and Mini.

Rolls-Royce wants to make all of its vehicles electric by 2030, which is in line with the growing trend towards more environmentally friendly transportation. The brand wants to join other elite companies, like Land Rover from Jaguar Land Rover and Bentley from the Volkswagen Group, in making the switch to electric cars. This shows that Rolls-Royce is serious about giving its users choices that are good for the earth and use the latest technology.
