Stocks to Watch Today: Asian Paints, L&T Fin, HAL, Blue Dart, Tata Power, Tata Steel

Global optimism is expected to boost Dalal Street indices on Friday, with the SGX Nifty quoting 35 points higher at 18,755 in early trading.

Overnight, the S&P 500 reached a new all-time high for 2023, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average recorded its third consecutive day of gains.

Japan’s Nikkei index rose 1.5%, South Korea’s Kospi gained 0.7%, Australia’s ASX 200 gained 0.2%, and Hong Kong’s Hang Seng gained 0.1%.

This follows an unexpected rise in US unemployment claims to their highest level since October 2021, as well as a rise in China’s consumer price index by 0.2% in May and a decline in the producer price index by 4.6% year over year.

In the meantime, the following securities will be in focus today:

Aether Industries: Aether Industries Limited and Saudi Aramco Technologies Company have signed a licence agreement for the commercialization of the sustainable Converge polyols technology.

The Board of Directors of L&T Finance Holdings has recommended a final dividend of Rs 2 per share of common stock for the fiscal year 2022–23.

Arihant Capital Markets: On June 15, 2023, the Board of Directors of the Company will convene to consider and approve the private placement of secured unlisted redeemable non-convertible debentures (NCD).

Urja Global: On June 7, 2023, Urja Global Limited entered into an agreement with Tesla Power India Private Limited for the production and distribution of batteries under the TESLA POWER USA brand.

Asian Paints, Bhansali Engineering Polymers, Caplin Point Laboratories, Cigniti Technologies, Dynamic Technologies, Elecon Engineering Co., HDFC Asset Management Company, Himadri Specialty Chemical, Indian Hotel Co., National Fertilisers, NRB Bearings, Solar Industries India, and Voltas are stocks with ex-dividend dates.

Blue Dart: Logistics company Blue Dart Express has appointed Sudha Pai as the company’s chief financial officer (CFO) effective September 1, 2023.

Tata Power and Tata Steel: Tata Power Renewable Energy, through its subsidiary TP Vardhaman Surya Ltd., was awarded a contract to establish a 966 MW round-the-clock hybrid renewable energy power project for Tata Steel. The hybrid renewable capacity of the project is 379 MW of solar and 587 MW of wind, according to a company statement.

V R Films Studios: At its meeting, the Board of Directors considered and approved the issuance of bonus shares in the ratio of 7:1 (seven shares for each share), subject to shareholder approval.

Hindustan Aeronautics: On June 27, 2023, the Board of Directors of the Company will convene to consider and approve a proposal to subdivide the company’s equity shares.

Capacit’e Infraprojects intends to raise Rs 96.30 crore through a preferential issue of equity shares to fund the company’s long-term working capital needs. Separately, it has approved the issuance of 5,6 million shares on a preferential basis at a price of Rs 170 per share in order to raise capital.

Biocon’s active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) manufacturing facility in Bangalore has received a certificate of GMP compliance from the German Competent Authority following an EU GMP inspection in February 2023.

IRB Infrastructure Developers: IRB Infrastructure Trust’s toll revenue increased 24 percent year-over-year to Rs 201.18 crore from Rs 162.64 crore in the prior year.

Abans Holding: The company’s subsidiary, Abans Agri Warehousing & Logistics, is executing a contract to sell its entire 100% stake in Shanghai Yilan Trading Co. to Forever Trading F.Z.C. for Rs 41 lakh.
